For Melinda, teaching piano and being principal is not just a job, it is a calling, and she finds great joy from seeing Melody Land music school's students develop into fine musicians. She also plays the guitar, flute, violin and enjoys songwriting.

When I was 14yrs old, I had a dream that one day I would run a music school. Even though I started teaching piano when I was 13yrs old and named it "Melody Land" back then, I had no idea that it would really expand into an actual music school one day.
My passion and goal is to provide excellent music education as a ministry for God's glory and to serve others. All decision-making is based upon my Christian faith as the foundation.
When selecting our school's teaching methodologies and systems, I would ask myself: "If this was for my own child, how would I teach them? How would I care and nurture their music learning to ensure they will keep learning well?"
Similarly, this same view I hold in my conduct with our team and teachers. They are a part of me as well, and how I treat them is how I would also wish to be treated. Our teachers were called and placed here for a purpose. I have a responsibility for them as well.
I do believe that it is only by God's grace and calling that we are still here today. Yes, lots of hard work, sweat, tears, and sacrifices, but ultimately it is by God's divine Hand, and His Grace alone. The reason I confidently say this, is that whenever we face challenges and problems, at just the right time, God always provided a solution.
We exist to serve and provide quality, proper 1:1 music lessons for the families and students in Sydney Hills District. Our students develop, learn, grow and succeed. God has indeed blessed our students and teachers! Who knows what God has for us ahead? One thing for sure, I am in this for the long haul now. This is my commitment to you.
"A land that the LORD your God cares for. The eyes of the LORD your God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year" (Deutoronomy 11:12)
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind.. and equally as important love others as yourself" (Matthew 22:37)
With wholehearted service,

Melinda has been teaching my girls for over a year now. I love her bubbly and encouraging personality. She has very high practice and performance standards which has really helped my girls to lift their game and play beautifully. She has that "sixth sense" when it comes to teaching children - sensitive to their needs yet firm in striving for them to achieve. If you are looking for an exceptional Suzuki piano teacher in the Hills, call Melinda.
My granddaughter Lanna has asked me to give you 5 stars. She thinks you are the best. You have helped her improve her piano playing so much, and she really enjoys her lessons.
Miss Melinda is an incredibly patient and kind piano teacher. My son has been with her for nearly a year and made some tremendous progress. I'd strongly recommend Miss Melinda to anyone who wants to learn to play piano with good tones and right techniques.
Melinda is such a kind, bubbly and encouraging piano teacher. She has such patience and the ability to make her students feel comfortable and WANT to play with passion. Coming to Melinda as an adult student, i was a little apprehensive but Melinda immediately put me at ease and her love for music and teaching has encouraged me to try and play to my best ability. Very highly recommended.
